LUNDIN GOLD’S COVID-19 RESPONSE

In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, Lundin Gold has developed and implemented the "PRO2020" program (Pandemic, Restart and Operations Plan 2020). The PRO2020 is a comprehensive program put in place to manage our operations at the Fruta del Norte mine during this period and prevent the spread of COVID-19 at the mine site and through the associated transport of material and people. The PRO2020 has established programs for physical distancing, enhanced disinfection and hygiene measures and comprehensive screening to prevent infected personnel and contractors from accessing the Fruta del Norte mine site. The PRO2020 also reinforces the Company’s medical facilities and resources, as well as medical case management. Additionally, it involves modified re-induction programs, communications, and education campaigns, as well as continued support to local communities heavily affected by the virus.

Aligned with our Responsible Mining Policy and our fundamental principles of Working Safely, Environmental Stewardship and Respect, these programs follow the guidelines of the national health authorities and established international protocols and have been put in place to minimize the risk of transmission of COVID-19 and promote a healthy and safe work environment.

Community Support during COVID-19

In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Company's community activities have shifted to supporting initiatives prioritized by the local government and the Ecuadorian Ministry of Health. Several programs have been undertaken, such as the Neighbourhood Doctor program whereby the Company provides transportation for medical professionals allowing them to access families in rural areas. Lundin Gold is also providing essential equipment to front-line workers in the communities surrounding the Fruta del Norte mine site. Finally, the Company is working several government institutions and the Lundin Foundation to deliver food packages to distressed families.
